even when it’s cold outside.

it’s like a day that’s so hot when you open the front door the heat blasts your face as if you had just opened the oven to remove your well roasted dinner. you walk outside into the sun and instantly suffocate wanting to rip off your clothes and even your skin because you just can’t take enough off to rid the heat. desperately wanting an ice cold shower but the water from the cold faucet can’t get above tepid because the heat has soaked the ground.

it’s what my days can feel like even when it’s cold outside.
